Being a child is not the easiest task. Domestic or school violence, health care deficiencies, racism and privacy rights violation are only a few of the problems a child could face before coming of age.
Since 1989, when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child, children are acknowledged to be full human beings in their own right and active members of the society.
International Convention on the Rights of the Child comprises 54 Articles that establish children's rights
• to life
• to information
• to civilization
• to education
• to health care
• to family
• to justice
and forbid child abuse, abandonment and exploitation.
