What goes online, stays online…
Achilleas and his friends enjoy every minute of their first holidays without their parents. They were looking forward to enjoying their freedom, far from “no” and “take care”. As they were free, they were doing things that they couldn’t even imagine and of course, they wanted to capture every single moment with their cameras. Photos and videos taken during free and crazy moments on the beach and at the clubs of the island were uploaded to facebook and twitter in an unbelievably quick way, since they wanted to share these moments with their “friends” without losing any time. They couldn’t ever imagine that their internet trace would be stored in a server forever. Abundant alcohol in combination with absolute freedom that they were experiencing for the first time, resulted in “uploading” their personal moments of which they couldn’t feel proud at all when they brisk “landing” after various comments.
Achilleas wanted to share this shameful moment with someone in whom he absolutely trusted and this was his Computer Science teacher, whose piece of advice entered his mind for good: “Never forget, Achilleas, that a picture or a video with explicit content can follow you for a lifetime… when you will be an executive in a company… even when you will have your own family!!!”
Smile tip: Live every moment with respect to yourself and your friends.
